University Departments and Advertisers
Welcome to MastersCompare, 'twinned with' and from the publishers of PostgraduateStudentships.co.uk, which allows students to compare Masters level courses easily and prioritise the factors they find most important when selecting and comparing courses. University Departments can not only list courses, but also find out which courses theirs have been compared to, and which factors students find most important when during the decision making process: see details of our Course Comparison Reports below to find out more about this unique Market Intelligence service we offer.
Advertising with MastersCompare, via listings or other advertising opportunities outlined below, is easy - and if you already have an account with PostgraduateStudentships.co.uk you will also find you have an account with MastersCompare as the two sites are closely linked. You can log in using the same username and password as you would on PostgraduateStudentships.co.uk.
The key options and other relevant information are given below. If you would like to place your listings on MastersCompare, please contact us to find out if we are already working with your University. If you already have an account you can log in immediately, or if you do not have an account you can register and start the process.
Listings:
1. Standard Listings:
Includes basic course fields such as course name, qualification, contact details, start month and fees, PLUS short description (up to 100 words) and entry requirements. You may like to be aware that our statistics for Enhanced and Standard listings show us that Enhanced listings attract 3-4 times as many page views and many more comparisons than Standard Listings.
OPTION 1A: Do it Yourself. FREE
The University uploads and maintains all it's own listings. But even with this option, we will upload your basic course information for free if you can supply it in an excel spreadsheet eg as for Studylink listings. You can then edit your listings and add your free course description and entry requirements information whenever is convenient for you.
OPTION 1B: We do it for you: FREE listings; All course uploads and maintenance: £5 per course.
We upload all your listings, even if that means we have to copy and paste them individually, AND make all amends and edits to your entries, as requested by you, during that academic year.
2. Enhanced listings:
As for standard listings, PLUS longer course description, additional fields (funding info, student destinations, RAE scores, Module Descriptions etc) AND listings appear higher in browse and search results than standard listings. You may like to be aware that our statistics for Enhanced and Standard listings show us that Enhanced listings attract 3-4 times as many page views and many more comparisons than Standard Listings.
OPTION 2A: Do it Yourself. HALF PRICE - £5 per course (discounted from £10 per course) per year.

ENHANCED LISTINGS HALF PRICE: £5 per course (discounted from £10 per course per year) - listings as above
All course uploads and maintenance: £5 per course.
Total for 20010/11 academic year: £10 per course.
All options are available on a University wide, Department or individual course basis, or a combination ie some parts of the University can take out one type of listing, and others a different type.
RETAINING LISTINGS ON HOME PAGE:
Individual course listings, whether Standard or Enhanced, can be listed on the home page, subject to availability of slots: introductory rate of £15 per week in addition to the listing cost, if any.
INDIVIDUAL COURSE COMPARISON REPORTS NOW AVAILABLE - Find out where the competition really is! View comparison information for 1 year for £10 per course or less.
On the statistics tab for each course entry, you can already see how many times your course has been included in a comparison made by a student. This information is included in the standard statistics report for each course.
You can now purchase unique Course Comparison Reports (enhanced statistics) for your individual course entries, which give you a ranked list of the courses yours has been compared with on MastersCompare.co.uk, from your own and other universities. Each report also shows you each of those individual comparisons in full so you can see the exact comparisons made.
Purchase tokens for comparison reports (only £10 per individual course report, discounts available for 10 or more purchases) on your account page, and choose when to apply them to individual courses - you can then see the comparison information, in real time for the next 12 months, including any existing comparisons already made up to the time when you purchased the report. You can purchase reports as soon as you create course entries, or you can wait until they reach the number of comparisons you see as valuable for each course - the number of comparisons your course has been included in is avalable free on the statistics tab for each course listing, which can now also be viewed from your account page.

BUTTONS, BANNERS AND EMAILS:
Buttons and banners available in similar positions to those on PostgraduateStudentships.co.uk, but remain discounted from the PostgraduateStudentships.co.uk price.
Front Page Buttons (right hand side, 120 x 60 pixels): £100 per month, 12 months for the price of 11.
Run of Site Banners: (square, left hand bar, or top horizontal banner) max 5 rotating banners in each slot: £200 per month, 12 months for the price of 10.
Email opportunities are available to send text emails to registered students interested in Masters level study: solus text email: 15p per email; minimum £100 per email. Subject area quotes available on request.
FEATURED DEPARTMENT PROFILES, VIDEOS, OPEN DAYS AND STUDENT PROFILES
You can register your Department for free and add a brief general overview of the postgraduate provision in your Department. If you have specific funding or study opportunities, you can then advertise them for just £45 for a single advert, and we offer discounts if you have more to list (see below). When you register your Department, we'll add a link on your Departmental page to the general funding that could apply for study in the subjects you select - this link will be displayed under the links to your own advertisements, as an additional source of information for students who want to study with you. Featured Department Profiles
You can add a Long Department profile, which lasts for a year, shows on both MastersCompare.co.uk and PostgraduateStudentships.co.uk, and includes an extra image, in addition to your logo, for just £300 for 12 months. It allows you to expand on the environment, facilities, teaching and support you offer to postgraduates and display an additional image as well as your logo. You can describe the types of funding typically available from your Department in general terms, but please note that the Profile cannot be used to advertise specific opportunities, as these are advertised separately. You can use up to 5,000 characters (including spaces).
To book the Featured Department slot on the home page of the site, please contact us for availability: £20 per week, available to Departments with a Long Department profile only, OR, £50 per week if showing on both PostgraduateStudentships.co.uk and MastersCompare.co.uk in the same month.

Videos, and Featured Videos
We are delighted to tell you that you can now display your postgraduate related videos on both MastersCompare.co.uk and PostgraduateStudentships.co.uk. As long as your video is shown on YouTube, it's very easy to add it to MastersCompare.co.uk and PostgraduateStudentships.co.uk. The cost is £200 per year for the first video on your account, and £100 per video for each video thereafter in the same 12 month period. The video is a product of its own, with title and blurb, BUT in addition it offers great value as a single video not only shows on both sites, but can be associated with and/or embedded into your text ads on both sites, including Masters course listings (enhanced only), Long Department Profiles, Open Days, Student Profiles, and text based ads on PostgraduateStudentships.co.uk: all for just £200 per video for 12 months. You can even select which ads or profiles each video is associated with, giving you ultimate flexibility.
We have a single Featured Video slot on the home page of each site, £20 per week on the home page of MastersCompare.co.uk, only, or £50 per week on the home page of both sites together. Max period 4 weeks.

Open Days
You can advertise your postgraduate fairs and open days on the site. You can buy tokens and create ads from your Account page in the same way as for a Basic Advertisement and your institutional logo is included. These ads show automatically on PostgraduateStudentships.co.uk, and also on MastersCompare.co.uk if your institution has course listings on the site. £40 per open day date, plus £25 per week to show on the home page of both sites.

Student Profiles
Knowing how popular student profiles are on University websites and in prospectuses, we have included this option, so you can upload your student profiles, (image and text, plus logo), for just £40 each for a year, showing on both sites. Student Profiles have their own page on the site on both PostgraduateStudentships.co.uk and MastersCompare.co.uk, but also show automatically on your Department page, and on any live ads, or listings on MastersCompare.co.uk that you decide to attach them to. The Student Profile page on each site can be accessed from the left hand browse box, which shows on most pages of both websites.
