This course is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport (CILT) and specifically designed for those who plan a professional or managerial career in the field of operations management in one of the best paid industries. Students can specialise in e.g. supply chain management, project management, purchasing and business process management and explore these areas in the oil and gas context. The programme offers a good mixture of theoretical and practical content, with a focus on Operations Management, taught by members of the University’s Research Institute of Logistics and Operations Management. It does not require previous business experience or knowledge as everything students need to know is being taught on the course. An excellent feature of the course is the opportunity for students to gain the ability to use the world-leading SAP software.
The MSc in Oil and Gas Operations Management is specifically designed for those with little, if any, work experience since graduation, and who are seeking to engage in postgraduate study of direct relevance to a professional or managerial career in the oil and gas industry. The programme addresses all of the main areas of oil and gas operations management and aims to provide a rigorous postgraduate business and management education leading to the award of a Masters degree, and we hope to a successful career.

A recognised university undergraduate honours degree, with at least a Lower Second Class classification, or a professional qualification deemed to be equivalent.
