LLM 12 months full time or 24 months part time; distance learning 24 months part time only

Course Description

The LLM in Advanced Legislative Studies (ALS) builds upon existing resources and staff experience in postgraduate tuition in the field of legislative drafting at the Sir William Dale Centre for Legislative Studies at the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies. This LLM is a response to the frequent demand – from students as well as from foreign government departments – for a UK-based postgraduate taught programme in the field of legislative drafting in its broader sense. LLM in Advanced Legislative Studies is also offered via distance learning (DL).

Entry Requirements

The normal minimum entrance requirement for all masters degrees is a First or Upper Second Class Honours degree from a university in the UK, or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard (for example a Grade Point Average [GPA] of 3.0 or higher). Applicants for Mphil / PhD are normally required to have a masters degree or equivalent. Please see Admissions Policy for full details. Applications may also be considered from candidates who do not meet the formal academic requirements, but who offer alternative qualifications and/or relevant experience.
