Masters Degree Description

Study our MA Applied Linguistics and TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) in Cambridge a city famous for language teaching and boost your career prospects with new critical and analytical skills.

On this course you’ll improve your theoretical understanding of language learning which will help you to develop your professional teaching skills.

You’ll explore the latest theories in topics such as second language acquisition and classroom theory and practice examining different methods of analysis. Your studies will be supported throughout by our research-active and industry-experienced academics including DELTA-qualified professionals.

And if you already have the Delta or Trinity TESOL Diploma we will give you 60 credits towards your degree.

If you study this course by distance learning you will not need to attend any face-to-face sessions.

Entry Requirements

A good honours degree (or equivalent) normally in a related subject. Applicants with professional experience are also encouraged to apply.
If English is not your first language you will be expected to demonstrate a certificated level of proficiency of at least IELTS 6.5 (Academic level- with no individual score being lower than 6.0) or equivalent English Language qualification as recognised by Anglia Ruskin University.
