Course Description

Our MSc in Banking Innovation and Risk Analytics (formerly MSc Banking and Risk) will provide you with a strong foundation in analytical and programming skills applied to risk management and in general to the banking and financial sectors. It will also deliver advanced knowledge of a range of banking innovations and technologies.

This programme runs for one academic year, starting in mid-September and ending in August. At the start of the programme, you study compulsory courses, which are undertaken in semester one. These are the foundation upon which the whole MSc is built and ensure a common basis of knowledge across the different areas.

Entry Requirements

You will need a UK first-class or 2:1 honours degree in one of the subjects below, or an equivalent overseas qualification.

  • An undergraduate degree in management science, operational research, statistics, econometrics, mathematics, physics, computer science or engineering is normally required
  • Candidates with a degree in business, management, finance or economics will be required to have covered some quantitative content
  • Candidates with a very good Honours degree in other areas of study or relevant business experience will be considered on an individual basis
