Entry Requirements

We welcome applications from all different educational backgrounds and experiences as talented creatives can develop in many environments. We encourage applications from students looking to change their career direction, as well as those seeking to further their skills and knowledge in a familiar subject. Our online courses are designed to be studied part-time and remotely, with online support and collaboration. We encourage students to apply early to secure a place.

Academic entry requirements

You’ll usually have a BA (Hons) degree at 2:2 or above, or an equivalent UK or international qualification. Students with undergraduate degrees related to the MA they want to study may not need to supply a portfolio, but we recommend providing one as a way for the course leaders to assess your ability.

Alternative Qualifications

Applicants without a related degree will still be considered for entry if there’s sufficient evidence to indicate they have the potential to fulfil the study objectives and achieve the standard of the final award. Students without a directly related degree will be asked to supply a portfolio of work for the course team’s consideration (please consult our portfolio guidelines for more information).

Experience

We encourage applicants with a demonstrable passion for the subject and/or relevant experience to apply, even if they don’t have a qualification. An online informal conversation with the course leader may be suggested to ensure the course is the right fit for you.
