Do you want to work as an investigator solving complex problems related to digital technology? Our MSc/PGDip/PGCert Cybercrime Investigation course has been developed to enhance your career within digital investigation.
Cybercrime is a fast-growing area that plays a major role in criminal investigations. You will build your expertise in key areas like digital investigation software, law and regulatory requirements, investigation skills and understanding contemporary cybercrimes. You will also gain experience in open-source internet investigation and explore how cybercrime investigation is approached by modern policing.
This course is ideal for those already working in investigations, whether in the public or private sector. It will also enhance the career opportunities for graduates in areas like computer forensics, psychology or policing. You will complete your studies with a research project of your choice, allowing you to make your course truly unique to you.
Applicants should hold at least 2:2 degree or equivalent

On completion, you can access a broad range of careers. Example careers include Law Enforcement, civil investigation companies (e.g. eDisclosure/eDiscovery), the military, the National Crime Agency, CEOP, Internet Watch Foundation, Border Control, banks, insurance companies, boutique investigation companies, or any company/organisation that has an in-house investigation/cyber security department.
While the PG Cert and PG Dip allow you to study at a speed convenient to you, they also demonstrate to employers that you have developed the critical thinking and writing skills needed at a postgraduate level.
The MSc involves completing an independent (supervised) research project that demonstrates your ability to solve problems related to Cybercrime Investigation. This acts as an excellent demonstration of how you can apply research skills to solve the real-world problems that you may face during your day-to-day career.
