Masters Degree Description

Study MA in Design Informatics at the University of Edinburgh. Through our postgraduate degree programme, taught at Edinburgh College of Art, you will connect technology with society, health, architecture, fashion, bio-design, craft, and other real world contexts.

Entry Requirements

These entry requirements are for the 2026-27 academic year and requirements for future academic years may differ. Entry requirements for the 2027-28 academic year will be published on 1 Oct 2026.

A UK 2:1 honours degree, or its international equivalent, in a relevant subject such as one related to design, technology or computing.

We also welcome applicants who do not meet academic entry requirements but demonstrate relevant professional experience.

Data Science for Design (20 credits)

MA students then complete their self-directed dissertation (60 credits).
