You can choose to take our broader MA Education (available in Cambridge Chelmsford and by distance learning) or focus your learning on one of five specialist pathways:
MA Education with Early Childhood (available in Cambridge Chelmsford and by distance learning)
MA Education with Montessori (available in Chelmsford and by distance learning)
MA Education with Special Educational Needs and Disability (available in Cambridge Chelmsford and by distance learning)
MA Education with Leadership and Management (available in Cambridge Chelmsford and by distance learning)
MA Education with Technology (available in Chelmsford and by distance learning)
Normally applicants should have a first degree with honours at a minimum classification of 2:2 or equivalent. Exceptional entry is offered to professionals with extensive professional experience. Arrangements also exist to incorporate Accredited Prior Learning (APL). If English is not your first language you will be expected to demonstrate a certificated level of proficiency of at least IELTS 6.5 (Academic level) or equivalent English Language qualification as recognised by Anglia Ruskin University.

If you're a teacher or lecturer at any level or a leader or manager within the education system our MA Education will enhance your impact and improve your career opportunities. As a recently qualified or early career teacher it will broaden your knowledge while you develop your teaching practice allowing you to put what you learn into immediate effect.
If you are progressing from a full-time academic course in Primary Education Studies our MA will enhance your CV with a higher-level award that includes both deeper knowledge of the subject and added transferable skills such as: independent and teamwork verbal and written communication critical and creative thinking presentation skills research and project management and increased self-confidence.
