This programme adopts an interdisciplinary approach by integrating finance, technology, and regulatory studies to provide a holistic understanding of Fintech. Traditional finance modules are blended with learning about the evolution and theories of data-driven financial modelling, data mining, machine learning and recent innovations such as AI and cloud computing.
You will be taught by industry experts that have vast experience in big data management, machine learning, computer programming and blockchain technology. You will also gain wider employability skills such as problem-solving, analysis, teamwork, programming, and financial knowledge.
A particular focus of the programme is the commitment to the development and application of values, skills, knowledge and behaviours that will enable students to contribute to the development of a just, peaceful and sustainable world. When you graduate, you will be armed with a diverse skill set, preparing you to enter industry, or progression onto a PhD.
Applicants will hold an undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, banking, economics, computing, mathematics or any other business-related subject with a minimum pass of 2:2, or equivalent overseas qualification, or an equivalent professional qualification.
Outside of the classroom, you will have the opportunity to partake in London Tech Week, where you can take advantage of networking opportunities as well as a chance to gain insights into career prospects in Financial Technology and other relevant industries. You can also join the annual DMU Global Trips for an exciting mix of overseas, on-campus and online international experiences.
