Postgraduate Credit Fundamentals of General Practice Nursing

• Applicants will hold live registrant status as an adult registered nurse / child registered nurse/ specialist community public health nurse, on the Nursing and Midwifery Council register.
• Applicants must be new to General Practice Nursing: within 12 months of employment. This will need to be verified by the GP employer within a reference of support to study.
• Evidence of a valid enhanced adult/child Disclosure and Barring Service check within 3 years of start of the course and occupational health clearance by GP employer, which needs to be validated in accordance with University of Wolverhampton admissions policy.
• Applicants will normally have a first degree, BSc (Hons) at 2.2 or above (in a relevant subject, or equivalent). Minimum of 60 credits at level 6 (studied within the last 5 years).
• Be employed as a general practice nurse by the start of the course.
• You will require a practice assessor and practice supervisor who are registered professionals within the field of General Practice and meets the NMC standards for assessment and supervision (2018).
