Mindfulness is an innate capacity of the mind to be aware of the present moment in a non-judgemental way. It opens up the possibility for more self-awareness, better concentration, emotional intelligence and self -regulation, including the ability to manage anxiety and stress.
Mindfulness Professional Recognition is delivered with a focus on development of your own practise, ability to gain greater self-awareness through reflection and an understanding of the impact, ethics and tools for taking mindfulness into the classroom.
We are not training you to be a mindfulness teacher, you are already a trained teacher, we are supporting you to:
Effectively lead mindfulness sessions
Understand the core principles of mindfulness
Develop an effective mindfulness strategy for the classroom, with consideration of ethical, moral issues and the potential impact of mindfulness
An undergraduate degree (Hons 2.2 or better) is a normal requirement, including a teaching qualification, either PGDE or MA Education.
