Masters Degree Description

If you're a highly motivated graduate with care experience who wishes to become a registered adult nurse and gain an MSc in a two year timeframe, the MSc Nursing graduate entry programme is perfect for you. The programme builds your academic skill sets, professional responsibility and technical complexity related to patient care throughout the two years. Successful completion of this innovative programme will ensure you will meet the registration requirements of theNursing and Midwifery Council. The programme meets the NMC standards for pre-registration nursing education.

Entry Requirements

2:2 degree in any subject
and
Evidence of 660hrs practice experience, (paid or unpaid) in a healthcare setting within the last 5 years. This will need to be verified by the employer or by the professional organisation where the practice hours took place. The practice experience needs to involve hands-on direct patient care and assisting with activities of daily living. Examples include patient hygiene, mobility, washing and dressing, wound care, taking vital signs and communicating with patients and their families. This in order to establish caring attributes, commitment and resilience for a career in nursing

You will also need: 4 / C in GCSE Maths or Level 2 Functional Skills Maths, plus an English language qualification
