Masters Degree Description

With this MSc in Occupational Psychology, you will develop your understanding of a wide range of domains where psychology impacts the workplace.

Occupational Psychologists apply psychological knowledge, theory and practice to organisational issues in the workplace. This course is accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS) as constituting Stage 1 towards becoming a Chartered Occupational Psychologist.

You will study how to drive a positive societal change in a professional setting. This Master's in Occupational Psychology will include content and assessments on a range of important social themes such as sexism in leadership, workplace racism, corruption, and organisational greenwashing.

Driven by Psychology's recent move to more open science, the programme will support you to identify, critically engage and synthesise, and apply bodies of evidence in Occupational Psychology. It includes a bespoke Evidence-Based Practice module designed to enhance your employability and your capability to deliver evidence-based practice.

Entry Requirements

An undergraduate (honours) degree at 2:2, or above, in Psychology accredited by the BPS

or

An undergraduate (honours) degree at 2:2, or above, and successful completion of a research methods assessment.

Student Destinations

This MSc in Occupational Psychology supports individuals to experience and develop their understanding of a wide range of domains where psychology impacts the workplace. This course represents Stage 1 towards becoming a Chartered Occupational Psychologist, whilst also opening doors to a number of professional careers in HR, consultancy and business. Destinations of our students are diverse, but we have had success supporting students to secure further (PhD) study and senior roles in HR teams.
