Masters Degree Description

Our new MA Photography course is designed for the next generation of visually literate, digitally fluent creators who are eager to push the boundaries of photographic practice in an evolving landscape. This practice-based postgraduate course aims to develop innovative, critical, and adaptive professionals who are ready to excel in a range of emerging visual cultures and creative industries.

Bringing together the unique qualities and breadth of the discipline from Fashion Capture to data and experience-driven Sports storytelling, to the visually-literate and digitally fluent Curators. This course offers a tailored learning journey that blends technical mastery with critical thinking, preparing you for a professional career.

At the heart of the course is a research-driven approach that encourages experimentation and critical play. You will engage with industry, practice, and scholarly exploration, enhancing your understanding of global photographic cultures.

Through specialist workshops and a live-learning experience, you will have opportunities to master cutting-edge digital technologies, giving you a competitive edge in the fast-changing creative landscape. The curriculum integrates theory and practice, encouraging you to take risks and reimagine the possibilities of visual storytelling through cross-disciplinary thinking.

  • 2.2 honours degree in a related subject.
  • Applicants with non-standard entry qualifications and / or relevant work experience will be considered on an individual basis.
