Masters Degree Description

If you're looking to prove you're ready for professional registration as a Chartered Engineer, you'll be able to demonstrate your readiness with this work-based Master's degree. Shaped by the demands of accrediting bodies, this MSc in Professional Engineering is designed to showcase your skills and knowledge for professional recognition.

You'll study alongside your current job, developing the skills to excel in your ongoing role as you build your portfolio of experience, behaviour and understanding in the engineering sector. You'll grasp emerging methods in the field and polish soft skills such as leadership, developing your profile as an informed, thoughtful and confident engineer.

Because the course is work-based, you need to already be in a full-time, part-time or voluntary role. If you don't have an undergraduate degree, you could still do this postgraduate course if you have several years experience in a responsible position or you have high-level skills through experience that isn't reflected in your qualifications.

Entry Requirements

A degree or equivalent. Other qualifications such as HNDs and Foundation degrees, supported by several years of relevant post-qualification experience in responsible posts, may also be acceptable.
Applicants are usually working at a professional level.
If you do not hold a level 6 qualification you may be required to present evidence of your ability to study at level 6.
