The MSc Psychology Conversion offers a fast route for graduates wishing to gain eligibility for Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC) of the British Psychological Society (BPS), which is the first step towards becoming a Chartered Psychologist.

The Masters level course has a strong focus on developing and enhancing your critical thinking and providing all the skills and knowledge required to plan, implement and report psychological research.
You will be taught by active research staff within the School of Human and Social Sciences, providing opportunities for you to complete your dissertation projects on a number of topics and through a range of methodologies, allowing you to specialise in your chosen area of interest.

As well as conferring Graduate Basis for Chartership with the BPS, the MSc Psychology Conversion degree provides a wide range of transferrable skills, including analytical, communication, statistical, IT, independence, team working, and research skills. All of these are highly valuable to a range of employees, with graduates typically moving on to one of the following:
– gaining employment as a Research or Psychology Assistant
– continuing to PhD, including at UWL
– progression to DClin Psychology and DEd Psychology training
