This new qualification offers the perfect pathway for aspiring food and nutrition teachers to achieve Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and teach this rewarding subject. In partnership with Leiths Education, the renowned culinary institution, the course combines practical cookery training with 120 days of hands-on teaching experience in local schools (with five different placement locations to choose from), as well as professional development to support your growth as an educator.

or above or equivalent qualification
Candidates must have an academic background in food and nutrition to apply.
Candidates must show original degree and GCSE (or equivalent) certificates in order to join the course. You will be able to do this in-person at the University or via registered post.
Graduates of this course will be fully equipped to teach Food and Nutrition in schools.
