Prepare to become a sport and exercise psychologist by exploring psychological influences on sports performance and exercise behaviour – gaining hands-on experience, insights and industry connections.
After completing this course you can become a chartered sport and exercise psychologist. If you already have a psychology undergraduate degree accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS), you can undertake BPS Stage 2 training. If you’ve previously completed an undergraduate degree in sport and exercise science, you can complete the CASES (The Chartered Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences) Sport and Exercise Psychology Accreditation Route (SEPAR).
Applicants should normally have a minimum of a second class honours degree (2.2), ideally in psychology, sport and exercise psychology, sport and exercise science or a sport, exercise or health-related subject.
If you do not hold a degree, we may be able to consider you with professional or CPD qualifications in a related discipline, or significant relevant real world experience. These will be considered on an individual basis.
If your level of English language is currently below IELTS 6.0 we recommend you consider an appropriate Sheffield Hallam University Pre-sessional English course which will enable you to achieve the required level of English.
