Online postgraduate study in Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia at University of Edinburgh provides students with the opportunity to study anaesthesia and pain management in animals in their own time, and supported by a team of world-renowned staff.
These entry requirements are for the 2026-27 academic year and requirements for future academic years may differ. Entry requirements for the 2027-28 academic year will be published on 1 Oct 2026.
A UK 2:1 honours degree, or its international equivalent, in veterinary medicine or veterinary nursing.
We will also consider your application if you have a degree in a related science with appropriate practical experience.
We may also consider your application if you do not have a degree but are a registered veterinary nurse/technician with a minimum of 3 years experience in anaesthesia and hold additional nursing or technical qualifications. You may be admitted to certificate level only in the first instance. Please contact the programme team to check before you apply.
