Description

Developing, testing, evaluating and implementing evidence-based healthcare in highly complex situations is becoming increasingly important. Our MSc in Applied Health Research will equip you with the skills necessary to develop a career in the health sector or to design, implement and publish healthcare research.

This course offers an excellent grounding in applied health research methods, including quantitative and qualitative methodologies, systematic reviews, randomised controlled trials, epidemiology and health economics.

This course can also be taken as a PG Dip.

Entry Requirements

This MSc is particularly relevant if you are either: a science graduate, a social science graduate, a healthcare professional wishing to develop health-related research and evaluation skills, or a professional from any health-related background interested in a career in health services research.

A number of our Applied Health Research students have gone on to study a PhD or MPhil with us. We also offer a Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Health Research.
If you are a non-native English speaking applicant you must provide evidence of your English language ability. You need to show enough fluency in all aspects of English (reading, writing, speaking and listening) to the required level of the course you’re applying to.
