This full-time version is with Internship of 6 months duration, with dissertation development. This allows completion within 18 months. To support Internship two non-assessed modules of Personal and Professional Development and Employability Skills and Employment are incorporated within the course and allocated tutor for internship.
The Internship Course seeks to provide the same rigorous and challenging programme of professional practice as the MSc Applied Project Management but has the added advantage of including a 6 months internship incorporated into the period of study. This makes it ideal for students seeking to add a practical dimension to their studies and understand the demands of workplace supervision and management. Internship opportunities exist throughout the industry within the UK.
The practical approach to teaching and learning is enhanced through the two distinct pathways of Computing and Enterprise Management as well as a final dissertation that allows for even deeper focus on your chosen career sector.
The course will allow you to study the latest techniques in project management and apply them to a specialist area of computing and enterprise management.
There are six taught modules ranging from Principles of Project Management to Research Methods with one being from your selected pathway.
Applicants will need an honours degree (minimum 2:1) from a recognised UK university or equivalent. Applicants may also be able to gain entry on the strength of equivalent experience and achievement. In this case, Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) or Accreditation of Prior Certificated Learning (APCL) may be possible.
Candidates who do not meet the academic requirements may still qualify for entry through relevant work experience.
There is an attendance requirement of 90% in order to be allowed to take-up internship offer. Students without internship will receive a Diploma in Applied Project Management.
