The Msc programme in Architecture at Aalborg University, Denmark, has its focal point in a number of current and future challenges in the field of architecture. With a foundation in subjects, methods, theories and disciplines pertaining to architecture and engineering, the master programme in Architecture ensures an interdisciplinary competence profile.
The aim is to design architectural projects with a point of departure in Nordic Architecture. Fields of importance in this regard include tectonic design as well as sustainable architecture. Tectonic design integrates structural, functional and aesthetic parameters whereas sustainable architecture integrates design, aesthetic, technical, functional energy and comfort parameters in an integrated design process shaping high level low energy architecture.
It takes two years to attain a master degree in Architecture, and during this time you will meet a wide range of teachers who will present you with new knowledge in key areas. The educational programme is internationally oriented, and attracts Danish as well as international students. Furthermore the educational programme offers the opportunity of an internship or/and an external study as well as study trips inside and outside Denmark during the semester.
