in collaboration with the associated partner research institutions:
Selected students will study in at least 2 and up to four of these countries, in a stimulating and scientifically excellent, international environment. The programme gives top-ranked students an excellent background in Astrophysics, introduces them to the world of modern astrophysical research, and fosters their future career in this field.
The course is fully taught in English, but students can learn the languages of the host countries at the partner universities. The course is co-funded by the European Commission through the Erasmus+: Erasmus Mundus programme and by the AstroMundus Consortium. Scholarships are available for both EU and non-EU students.

EMJMD and equivalent AstroMundus Consortium scholarships are awarded to the highest ranked non-EU students for participation in the programme.
These scholarships fully cover the participation fees (including tuition fees and international full insurance package) and additionally provide students with a monthly allowance of 1,000 € (for 24 months) and a contribution to travel expenses and other costs, up to a maximum of 7,000 euros (depending on the student’s country of origin).
