About the programme

With this online, part-time MSc, you’ll learn how to investigate digital crimes and protect companies against online attacks and security threats.

The University of Portsmouth’s course offers a mix of theoretical and practical learning, to give you the expertise needed to approach real challenges faced by professionals in the field.

You’ll receive remote access to the institute’s Forensic IT and Cyber Security laboratories to gain experience working with specialist tools. You can even expect to attend an online court hearing as part of your coursework.

Entry Requirements

  • A first or a second-class honours degree in a relevant subject or equivalent qualifications and/or professional experience
  • Evidence of English language proficiency for applicants who don’t speak it as a first language: IELTS level 6.0 with no component score below 6.0 (or other proof accepted by the university)
