Course Description

Why study Cybersecurity (Conversion) with us?

The Cybersecurity Facility is part of the Department of Computer Science, which was established in 1985 and is an innovative, forward-thinking Department.

The course is taught by experts in the field with years of expertise in industry, and has close links with industry and government. The course is taught at Thornton Science Park, which offers an excellent learning environment with dedicated specialist resources, including virtualisation facilities and an isolated cybersecurity lab for specialist workshops to take place.

The Department is also home to the Informatics Centre, a software development team where students can gain experience of commercial projects.

Entry Requirements

As a conversion Master’s degree, this course has a wider admission than would normally be expected.

 

A good degree (normally 2:1 or above) in a science, maths, engineering, or cognitive field would be expected, or one where the applicant can show technical discipline.
