Topics include: corporate finance portfolio management managing across cultures management strategy MSc Finance and Management is taught at Essex Business School, acclaimed for research expertise on workplace behaviour, financing of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) and mergers and acquisitions. You join an internationally diverse school, ranked in the top 25 in the UK for research excellence (REF 2014).

Essex Business School is home to a number of cutting-edge financial research centres and institutes where the academics leading your course can share their latest research findings. The Essex Finance Centre (EFiC) works with leading financial services firms and public sector organisations, governments and policy institutions to produce work that makes real-world impact across the globe.

The Essex Centre for Macro and Financial Econometrics brings together academic and industry expertise from inside and outside the University of Essex to research and help solve important issues in financial markets. Our Centre for Work, Organisation and Society organises regular events, which provide you with access to academic and industry expertise, as well as the opportunity to network with scholars from around the world. Our students can use industry-leading Bloomberg data in Essex Business School’s virtual trading floor. This state-of-the-art facility gives you access to the same tools used by traders and business analysts worldwide, offering a fantastic opportunity to hone your practical skills in finance and management. This course is also available to study part-time and you may be able to apply for scholarships and discounts provided by the University of Essex.

Entry Requirements

A 2:2 degree, or international equivalent, in a numerate discipline such as: Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Science or Engineering.

Your Degree should contain at least one module relating to Economics or Finance (not including financial reporting), Mathematics or Statistics. With a score of 50% in this module.
