This Financial Management course at Robert Gordon University will help you to develop the theoretical and analytical finance skills needed to succeed in the corporate sector and financial institutions. You will develop critical knowledge and understanding of the principles, concepts and theories of finance and the analytical skills for addressing financial management challenges in the domestic and international business environments.
The course will develop your ability to identify, evaluate, and propose/implement solutions to finance problems, and employ transferrable skills needed for roles within financial institutions, stock broking, investment and portfolio management, treasury and corporate finance departments of companies.

Stage 1
You will develop your knowledge and skills in financial analysis and understand the relevant theories for critically evaluating financial information and financial markets. You will learn to use various models and techniques for analysing the complex issues which arise during the business decision-making process.
Stage 2
You will analyse financial management practices and learn to apply a range of analytical and financial skills. You will learn to evaluate and manage financial opportunities and risks.
Stage 3
The Capstone module is designed to provide you with an opportunity to integrate master’s level knowledge and skills by independently working on an applied academic study or business consultancy project from a degree related discipline.
