Many events now have an international focus working across cultural, economic and geographical boundaries. Providing a sound theoretical underpinning of the cultural, political, ethical and economic aspects of international events management, this course offers you the practical and strategic understanding required to run international events effectively.
Guest speakers from industry regularly share their knowledge and insights through a series of lectures, case studies and field trips, which keeps the course contemporary and industry focussed. You will also be invited to bring your own cultural experience and understanding to the course, making it attractive to home and international students.

You can choose from a variety of career opportunities spanning from high-profile large scale events to specialised areas. This diverse industry can offer employment opportunities with charity events, film and theatre, music and media, sport, corporate events, conferencing and the public sector. Some of our students have started their own events business, while others have moved into academia and research.
