Art History and World Art Studies runs one of the longest-established programmes in Museum Studies in the UK – and the only one based inside an art gallery, the Norman Foster-designed Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts (SCVA). Understand the history and theory behind museums, plus conservation and curation, education and outreach, exhibition design and visitor services, legal frameworks, marketing and development.
Open to applicants with a good Honours degree (UK BA (Hons) 2:1 or equivalent) in the subjects of History, Art History, Archaeology, Anthropology, Natural Sciences or other related areas, or with practical experience working in museums. Interviews are required for students applying to this degree.
