This non-modular programme prepares students to teach in the age band 5-11 years; successful completion leads to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) subject to satisfactory performance in skills tests and 60 credits at Master’s level; students follow programmes in teaching core and non-core subjects across the curriculum; 19 weeks are spent in school placements; placements are spread across all 3 terms with final teaching placements in the spring and summer terms.
Lower 2nd Honours degree or equivalent; GCSE grade C or equivalent in English language, mathematics and science subject; A-level or considerable experience in working with or using Spanish required; applicants must have gained recent experience, in school with children of the age range that they wish to teach.
