The DProf and MRes in Research in Health Professions Education gives you expert training in education research methods. The programme is suitable for anyone who wants to undertake rigorous, practice-focused research, from doctors, nurses, academic educators, social care professionals or psychologists.

MRes: Applicants for MRes must normally hold an undergraduate degree at 2.1 level (or Non-UK equivalent as defined by Swansea University).
There is also provision for admission that takes into account work experience when the applicant have an undergraduate degree but not at a 2:1 honours level (contact RiHPE@swansea.ac.uk). Applicants who have already completed masters-level taught modules with outcomes that are significantly similar to those in the taught phase of the programme may be allowed to APeL those credits into Phase 1. This decision will have to be made on a case-by-case basis by the Programme Director and the School’s APeL Committee.
