This course is designed for architecture and architectural technology graduates, but is also suitable if you have studied other built environment or international courses. You’ll gain the specialist expertise you need to a rewarding career in architecture. Entry Requirements

All students

Normally you need a good 2:2 degree or above (or international equivalent degree) in architecture or architectural technology. We also welcome applications from graduates from construction, engineering and environmental undergraduate courses. Consideration is also given to those without prior university qualifications who have at least five years of relevant professional experience. You may also be able to claim credit points which can reduce the amount of time it takes to complete your qualification at Sheffield Hallam. Find out more

All applications should ideally be accompanied with a digital portfolio. Please refer to the guidance notes below. Where it is difficult to provide a portfolio we will invite you to an interview to discuss your application.

You need a high level of English language competence to successfully complete the course. If you are a non-native speaker of English, you typically need IELTS 6.0 and no component (listening, reading, writing and speaking) below 5.5.

If your English language skill is currently below IELTS 6.0 or equivalent we recommend you consider a Sheffield Hallam University Pre-sessional English course which will enable you to achieve an equivalent English score.
