The History of Africa and the African Diaspora MRes

Study Details

MRes 1 year full-time

The MRes in the History of Africa and the African Diaspora is a unique and exciting new programme, the first of its kind to be delivered completely online. Its aim is to enable students to explore the historical relationships between Africa and its diaspora in the modern period by conducting their own supervised research in this important field. Students will be encouraged to critically re-evaluate existing narratives that have marginalised the study of the African diaspora, especially in Britain, and often totally separated the history of Africa from that of its diaspora.
