There has never been a more exciting time to teach computer science and ICT, which is going through one of the biggest changes ever seen. More and more jobs are appearing to meet the demand of schools who need specialist teachers in computing, so if you're skilled in using computers and want to share your knowledge, then our PGCE will provide you with all the tools needed for a successful career as a secondary school teacher.

We work closely with partnership schools in Lancashire, Cumbria and the Fylde coast, allowing you to complete two placements in different schools and even start teaching by week three of the course! Our experienced tutors will help you learn how to plan, resource and deliver effective lessons to pupils across the ability range. You'll work with people from a variety of backgrounds, sharing experiences of the classroom and ICT work (including programming and technical knowledge) to help enhance everybody's learning. Everything you have done previously will help you on the route to becoming a successful teacher of computer science and ICT, even if you are yet to see the relevance, so allow us to put your skills into focus to achieve a successful career in teaching.
