Masters of Laws: European Law LLM

Study Details

LLM 1 year full-time, 2 years part-time

This specialism is designed to give students the opportunity to study the constitutional issues which arise from the concept of the European Union, including law making and the relationship between the EU and Member States.

We provide modules which examine the substantive law of the EU and the way in which that law has been implemented in English law. We also provide an optional study trip to visit the institutions of the EU.

Students wishing to specialise in an area of law by following one of our dedicated pathways will also benefit from having that pathway named on your degree certificate, highlighting the specialist knowledge and experience you have in this field.

Module details

Students wishing to obtain a specialised LLM must complete three 30-credit modules in your chosen specialism, and must write a dissertation worth 60 credits in that subject area.
