The MA allows students to construct a programme that suits their particular interests: students can choose from a wide range of option modules and explore the methodologies and subject matter of multiple disciplines.

Entry Requirements

We are looking to attract applicants with a strong 2:1 or 1:0 undergraduate degree (e.g. an average of approx. 67% or more) in an arts, humanities and social science subject and we are expecting the degree to have provided some foundation for theoretical and interdisciplinary considerations of culture and thought after 1945.

We will also consider applications where exceptional circumstances or alternative routes to postgraduate study are outlined. International applicants are welcome.
If you are a non-native English speaking applicant you must provide evidence of your English language ability. You need to show enough fluency in all aspects of English (reading, writing, speaking and listening) to the required level of the course you're applying to.
