PG Dip 2 years Part-time, distance learning

The PG Diploma in the Geology of Yorkshire and Northern England is a two-year, part-time programme which will Introduce the key tenets and sub-disciplines of geology, focusing on the geological evolution of northern England and its global significance in the development of Earth Sciences. Students will gain an holistic understanding of the geological origins and history the region and develop the skills and techniques necessary for effective field and laboratory geological analysis.

The programmes starts in late September each academic year – places are limited to ensure a constructive workshop atmosphere and is delivered wholly online in a fully-supported learning environment.

Entry Requirements

Students will be expected to hold a Bachelor’s Degree in a related subject area. CLL will also favourably consider any student previously awarded a BA/BSc in any subject, and with evidence of recent HE level study.
