Postproduction with Visual Effects MA, MSc

Study Details

MA 1 year Full-time, MA 2 years Part-time, MSc 1 year Full-time, MSc 2 years Part-time

This course is designed to give a solid grounding in the latest postproduction systems and techniques, as well as a rich understanding of digital visual effects creation for feature film and broadcast television. There is a strong professional focus, with an emphasis on 2D graphics and compositing, to ensure that the skills acquired are immediately relevant and consistent with current industry practices. This programme is unique in that it allows students the choice of focusing on production-orientated work (for an MA degree); or on formal research into the technologies behind postproduction systems (for an MSc degree).

Entry Requirements

This course will be of interest to those who already have some experience in media (either through study or professionally) and who want to expand their understanding of postproduction. Students will be expected to have obtained at least a 2:1 in a related undergraduate course. Alternatively, professional experience in media production will be considered in lieu of the degree requirement. All applicants will need to submit examples of their own creative work for consideration.
If you are a non-native English speaking applicant you must provide evidence of your English language ability. You need to show enough fluency in all aspects of English (reading, writing, speaking and listening) to the required level of the course you're applying to.
