“The staff at GSA are absolutely wonderful. I have never encountered such a friendly, supportive group of teachers, and they made the whole year so enjoyable.”

“Prior to attending Guildford School of Acting (GSA), I had done three years of drama school training in classical acting. However, I wanted to specialise in musical theatre, and particularly strengthen my singing and dancing technique. GSA was by far my first choice. It has an outstanding reputation, and I knew the standard of training would be very high.

“I grew up in a family of actors, so theatre has always been very close to my heart. Musical theatre combines my love of singing, acting and dancing, and has always been my biggest passion.”

I thoroughly enjoyed the singing lessons. I had not had one-to-one singing lessons prior to GSA, and so developing this technique has been a fantastic experience. We also got to put on a range of different showings, and it was great to be able to perform in such a variety of plays and musicals. The staff at GSA are absolutely wonderful. I have never encountered such a friendly, supportive group of teachers, and they made the whole year so enjoyable. The facilities at GSA are also excellent. They have many spacious studios and practise rooms, which are also available for students to use during weekends.

Guildford itself is a fantastic place to live. It’s a lovely, friendly community, with so many nice places to spend time in. It’s also so quick and easy to get into London.

I have definitely changed since I started life at Surrey. I have so much more confidence in myself, both as an actor and as a person. I’m most proud of how my dance skills have improved, due to the fantastic, rigorous training I’ve received. I’ve made friends with people who I know I’ll know for the rest of my life. I feel so at home in Guildford, and I’m so happy to have found somewhere that I want to continue to living in. After my studies, I plan to stay in Guildford, and hopefully start to get auditions and work as an actor. Coming to GSA has helped tremendously with this. I feel I have so much more to offer now, and I’m so much more prepared to face this industry. I also have a couple of auditions/agent meetings lined up, which I gained from the showcase at GSA.”
