Research Excellence

Heriot-Watt offers an outstanding environment for postgraduate study. Our £7M Postgraduate Centre combines excellent facilities and networking opportunities with postgraduate students from across the University. Heriot-Watt is also home to the UK’s leading innovation hub in robotics and artificial intelligence – The National Robotarium, and Scotland’s national sports performance centre Oriam.

Scholarships, fees and funding

We aim to encourage well-qualified, ambitious students to study with us and we offer a wide variety of scholarships and bursaries to achieve this. Over £6 million worth of opportunities are available in fee and stipend scholarships, and more than 400 students benefit from this support.

We are offering a £1,000 academic excellence scholarship to UK students interested in studying one of the below programmes*:
