We’re proud to call ourselves a leading centre of sports education. Located in the centre of Leeds, we’re growing all the time, and just unveiled a new £45million state-of-the-art training and research centre.

But a great school isn’t just about location, and buildings. Since opening in 1933, we’ve given people the tools and confidence to deliver more compassionate coaching, and more innovative research. That’s rubbed off on thousands of graduates who have passed through our doors. And we’ve learned so much from them.

We also understand that learning involves listening. We work across disciplines to find new angles on established problems. And we’ve nurtured partnerships with a variety of local, national and international organisations, working together to understand and address issues that affect performance, coaching – and even our society itself.

Every day, we work on real-world issues, with industry and academic partners from all walks of life and have more than 140 research students working in a range of fields.
