There are four different faculties within the University: Business and Law, Arts and Humanities, Health and Education, and Science and Engineering, with more than 150 postgraduate taught programmes on offer. Scholarships, fees and funding

A range of faculty and subject-specific scholarships are available, as well as specific scholarships for international students. Visit our website for details of current scholarships.

The funding available for postgraduate study is different depending on whether you normally live in England, Wales, Northern Ireland, or Scotland.

If you’re studying a masters course, and live in England, you may be able to get a loan to help you with the cost of your tuition fees and living expenses. The loan is not income assessed and is available for students studying an eligible masters course. Separate fuding arrangements are also available for master’s students that normally live in Northern Ireland, Wales and Scotland.  For up-to-date information, please visit the GOV.UK website.

Student support

Manchester Met offers a wide range of specialist services to help you achieve your very best. Postgraduate students at Manchester Met can benefit from:

  •  Our Study Skills team is accessible online or on-campus, providing short courses, group workshops, and one-to-one appointments.
  • The Counselling, Mental Health and Wellbeing Service offer tailored support through one-to-one appointments, group workshops, and access to our 24/7 online platform Togetherall.
  • Our Chaplaincy team offers pastoral care and tranquil spaces for prayer or reflection, welcoming individuals of all faiths or non-faith backgrounds.
  •  The Disability Service ensures that students facing challenges due to disability, health conditions, or specific learning difficulties receive the support they need. If you have any support needs, we recommend getting in touch before your course begins to get the best possible support.
  •  For international students, the Language Centre offers free British Council-accredited intensive courses in academic English to support your studies.
  • Our Careers and Employability Service offers support to help our students achieve their career goals both during their studies and after graduation.
