Postgraduate Programmes

We offer over 200 taught and research programmes in a variety of subject areas. Interested in a research degree? With a large supervisory team and expertise in every academic department, you’ll have the freedom to specialise in a variety of research topics. Most of our programmes can be studied on a part-time basis, giving you the flexibility to choose when and where you study.

Funding Opportunities

Every year, we offer a variety of research scholarships, which typically covers the cost of your tuition fees, plus an annual living cost stipend. PhD loans are available to eligible English, Welsh and EU students. The money is paid directly to you and can be used towards the cost of your tuition fees and/or living expenses.

Enhanced Skills and Employability

Our training framework, made up of ten different themes, is designed to support your research and professional development at every stage of your candidature. All our postgraduate students are encouraged to attend a series of dedicated skills development courses, in areas such as presentation skills and public engagement. The Swansea Employability Academy will also be on hand throughout your studies to provide one-to-one guidance on job searching, as well as placement opportunities and employability events.
