Course Description

Concert Music aims to develop an advanced knowledge of compositional techniques from the 16th to 20th/21st century. Informed by current ideas on the academic study and practical application of composition, your course will be taught by established industry professionals and academics.

We aim to equip you with skills to help you succeed in the fast-paced and ever-changing music industry. You will embrace a range of styles and produce original creative work, as well as completing an assessed rehearsal in which you conduct a vocal ensemble.

Our well-known composer’s workshop programme offers a valuable opportunity for social and professional networking with leading figures.

Entry Requirements

You need:

an honours degree (2:2 or above) in music, music technology or a related subject –

advanced musical knowledge –

a portfolio of degree level or professional work –

a written statement

We may also offer you a place based on relevant experience or training, normally from within the work environment. All applications are considered individually.
