Course Description

The MSc Health Psychology course provides the initial step towards gaining Chartered Psychologist status with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Health Psychologist.

You’ll gain theoretical and empirical knowledge in all the major fields as required for Stage I training in Health Psychology. Following successful completion of this course, you will be eligible to progress to Stage 2 doctoral-level training, leading to becoming a Chartered Psychologist and HCPC registered Health Psychologist.

Entry Requirements

  • An honours degree at 2:2 or higher in Psychology or a recognised international equivalent
  • Alternatively, a postgraduate conversion diploma in psychology following completion of another degree subject
  • If English is not your first language then English language proficiency required is IELTS 6.0 (with no element less than 5.5) – or equivalent qualification
