Masters Degree Description

Earn while you learn with our Advanced Clinical Practitioner Apprenticeship, which leads to a master's degree over three years.

Advanced Clinical Practice is about working in partnership with individuals, families and carers with and within multi-disciplinary teams. This postgraduate Advanced Clinical Practitioner Apprenticeship enables you to develop your knowledge, skills and confidence to manage complex cases autonomously within specific areas of practice.

The course is aimed at practitioners holding registration with a professional body and will lead to a master's degree (MSc) over three years of part-time study at university and in the workplace. It encompasses the four pillars of clinical practice, leadership and management, education and research with demonstration of core capabilities, and field-specific clinical competence.

Entry Requirements

From the start of your apprenticeship, you will need to be employed in an appropriate healthcare setting

For entry, you will need to have:

A first degree; normally 2:2 or above; or equivalent study
Current registration with the NMC or HCPC or other relevant PSRB
Evidence of substantial experience of working in the health and social care sector currently fulfilling a specialist role, with extensive post-qualification of experience in professional practice
Current employment within an appropriate role with relevant experience.

You will also need GCSEs at grade 4/C in mathematics and English or recognised level 2 equivalents
