Course Description

The MA Dance: Advance Practice is a programme designed to enable you to further your Dance studies at a higher level.  It will provide you with the choice to specialise in areas such as pedagogy or working with a choreographer in repertory whilst focusing your employability in the module Artist as Producer.

The modules offered will enable you to select how you want to study and if you need to balance this alongside working, it maybe that you will select more intensively delivered modules.  Alternatively, you might want to be more involved by taking daily Techniques for Performance alongside weekly modules.

The highly experienced lecturing staff and dance practitioners all specialise in their chosen fields and this ranges from dance critics, to dance company directors and choreographers.

Entry Requirements

  • An honours degree at 2:2 or higher in a related discipline
  • If English is not your first language then English language proficiency required is IELTS 6.5 (with no element less than 5.5) – or equivalent qualification
  • You will be required to audition.
