The Masters in Economic Development focuses on the economic analysis of issues primarily related to economic development and development policy. You will benefit from a wide range of courses during the first semester, before choosing your preferred pathway. In the second semester, you can specialise in either finance (with a focus on developing countries) or development policy.
2.1 Hons (or non-UK equivalent) in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Development Studies or related discipline within Social Sciences and Humanities. For Social Sciences and Humanities degrees, applicants must have graduated with at least 2 credit bearing modules in Economics and/or Finance and/or Statistics at an average grade of pass.
Recent graduates have gone on to work for the third and public sector in roles such as research analyst, development economist and consultant for governments, international organisations as well in the private and third sectors. We have a dedicated careers and employability team who provide 1-2-1 support and advice, group workshops, employer events on campus and networking opportunities throughout the year to help you with your career prospects.
