Course Description

This course puts strategy and innovation at the forefront of fashion business and will provide you with advanced knowledge in this area.

The programme has been uniquely designed for all those who are interested in pursuing a career within the fashion industry. You will study among the UK’s finest creatives in a design led, technological and business environment and participate in a collaborative working environment.

During the course, you will develop your leadership and management skills and gain experience through simulated tasks which emulate real-world practice.

Entry Requirements

First, upper second-class honours degree, lower second-class honours (or equivalent non-UK qualifications) in a relevant subject, or an equivalent professional qualification in a related subject.

If you are applying directly from an undergraduate degree course without experience or professional practice, you must be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of your chosen subject area.

Module Details

Semester 1 and 2  

Through semester 1 and semester 2, you will be exposed to the global landscape of fashion and learn the research methods which will underpin your learning.

You will learn the fundamental methodologies and practice of research and how this will frame your practice.

Topics focusing on strategy and leadership will inform your practice and help to develop your entrepreneurial skills.

You will explore brand innovation as well as financial management and will have the opportunity to work on a project exploring how digital acceleration is supported by data.

Semester 3

In semester 3, you will work to resolve a long-standing business research problem and develop a final project which aims to support existing research findings, as well as your own.

This can include a commissioned industry report or an entrepreneurial business concept, which includes a business plan and pitch proposing a new business start-up concept.
